Lis' Kristof (See "An Indomitable Spirit" in the April posts and further updates in April and May) passed away at 9:00 PM last night. The world of agility has lost a great friend and mentor, and her Chinese Cresteds have lost their most precious companion.
Lis' last email to her agility friends ended with the phrase "Run Fast, Run Happy", and I am quite sure she is now running fast and happy at the Rainbow Bridge with her beloved dogs who passed before her.
My heartfelt condolences to her family and friends, both human and canine.

Lis's journey is over here, but has just begun someplace else....I never met Lis, but "knew" her through SewForum....bless her heart, her fight is over. My deepest sympathies go to her family and the friends that knew her best. She is now running with her loves!!

I just want you to know what a delightful, lovely,wonderfully written, interesting site you have. Lis' and Diva have a special place in my heart as she and I were "chemo friends". Her treatments were sometimes on Tuesdays and so we became friends over the past 8-9 mos. We came to call ouselves the "Cancer Eveready Bunnies" because we had both been on chemo for many yrs..She close to 9, me over 8. My GD came w/me about 4 mos ago and they happened to be there. I had told my GD about them and Lis' asked my GD if she would like to hold Diva..OF COURSE..for our entire treatment!! I saw her the day that she had the papers for the new trial drug, and she was talking then about this upcoming show she wanted to do with Diva. That, of course, was before she knew about the Leukemia. We had one more visit after that and next week is when she came up to the infusion floor and told all the techs about the Leukemis and diagnosis. She was a very lovely, interesting, kind and caring lady, fun and very humerous. God provided a special gift for me in knowing her even for such a short time.
I close with part of a poem that means a lot to me...."God gave us tears to release the misery the heart would store...they are a cleansing stream that flows...weep your tears, the loss leaves lesser pain when death reveals our loved one's gain...weep your tears."
Will continue to ck your wonderful site and read all about your wonderful animals and see the pictures you post from time to time. kay..
Kay, thank you so very much for sharing this with us. I am so very moved by it, just as I was by Lis' last run with Diva.
May you remain strong in your battle with cancer and may the spirit and humour that you and Lis' so obviously shared help you face the challenges ahead.
