Positive vibes needed for Boujie

[picture of Boujie copied from lost posters on internet]

Over a month ago, a young black lab named Boujie went missing on southern Vancouver Island where she was staying at a resort with her American owners. She is only ten months old, with a history of abuse, and had recently been adopted from a rescue organization in the States. She is extremely timid and she bolted after being startled by someone at the resort. The owners tried to find her, but returned home the next day. Even though they are only a few hours away they have not, to our knowledge, returned. While there was some initial contact between the owners, the local area pound, and local rescuers, the owners apparently have not made any contact at all in the past 2-3 weeks or, to our knowledge, made any attempts to find her.

A rescue group on the island who are often called to help search for lost dogs,
Chelco Farms Border Collie Rescue, searched and searched and searched. They put up posters, they arranged for live traps, they talked to hundreds of people, they networked. For the week after Boujie disappeared, there were occasional sightings...then nothing. And nothing. And still nothing. And still Chelco Farms kept looking.

And then, a couple of days ago there was a report of a sighting several kilometers away from from the original sightings. Yesterday, another sighting - a homeowner saw her in the backyard with the homeowner's own dogs, but when she went outside the dog again bolted. And today - ANOTHER SIGHTING!!! Boujie is looking terribly thin and very weak.

Chelco Farms and friends are on top of it, and hope to bring this girl to safety today.

I believe that positive thoughts can help to guide a spirit to safety, just as those who are religious believe in the power of prayer to bring about miracles. And so, whatever your beliefs, I ask every reader of this blog today to spend just a few minutes of your time to think of Boujie, to send her the message that humans will help her, to guide her to safety. She is just a little girl all alone in a scary world. Please do whatever your heart or your faith guides you to do to give her the courage to let herself be found.

Go to the people, Boujie, go to the people. They will help you and feed you and take care of you. You are not alone.

I have been and am praying for Boujie's safe recovery. Thank you Jill for looking for her tirelessly.

Won't say here what I think about her "owner" who left her behind when she was lost.

Come home Boujie, please.
